Margaret Ussher
Margaret first performed in Waiting in the Wings as Bonita, in 1999, with Mairangi Players. Seventeen years on, in this production she has ‘matured’ into the mobility-challenged hypochondriac, Almina. Her most recent role for Ellerslie Theatrical Society was that of Grandma in Gigi in 2006. Margaret has been treading the ETS boards from time to time since 1998, most recently in Waiting in the Wings. Her most unusual acting experience was as a member of a one-off ETS production of Groping for Words, which explored adult literacy, at Paremoremo Prison (2001). As an Alan Bennett fan, Margaret is delighted to be back at Ellerslie playing one of his characters. |
