A theatre producer, director and musician resident in NZ, Regan has enjoyed creative opportunities in Auckland, Wellington, Otago, and Southland. Studying a Diploma in Drama, he appeared in many plays, musicals, and operas including Pericles for Auckland Summer Shakespeare, Hamlet at the Maidment Theatre, a stage adaption of Blackadder Goes Forth, and opera Die Fledermaus. He was the producer and manager for the Newmarket Stage Company (Patron George Henare OBE), a core cast member of KISS Theatre Ltd, a tutor for NZ Performing Arts, a theatre critic for theatreview.co.nz, and a former NAPTA judge.
Recent directing credits include Roger Hall’s Four Flat Whites in Italy (Auckland), em>Cabaret Coward in the Office (Dunedin),as well as new NZ works The Leaf Jar and The Cave (Auckland), The Prodigal Son, and The Green (Dunedin). Regan has also enjoyed directing youth theatre, with Alice in Wonderland, Beauty and the Beast, (both PTC) and The Long and the Short and the Tall (Rosmini College) under his belt.
As a producer he recently brought the thriller Death and the Maiden to the boards with director John Callen as well as production managing a stage adaption of Blackadder II. Musically, he conducted Sweet Charity and played Keys 1 for Mamma Mia in the South Island last year. Regan is currently directing Fiddler on the Roof .
