Jocelyn McQuaid

image for Jocelyn McQuaid

Jocelyn has worked in various theatres over more than 70 years. She holds a Dip Drama (Auck) and LTCL (Speech), and has taught adult and children’s drama classes, as well as many individual pupils. She has directed numerous plays for Mairangi Players and Ellerslie Theatrical Society, both of which she is a life member. These days she is mostly found backstage, lately doing wardrobe.

This play is a fitting tribute to all who served in France, 1914–18. Jocelyn’s father, Private Harold Cooper, served there with the Wellington Regiment of the New Zealand Rifle Brigade and was at the relief of Le Quesnoy, the last skirmish of the Great War.
