Sophie Gilderdale is returning to the stage after a break studying science at the University of Auckland. This year she has played Annabella/Margaret/Pamela in Playhouse Theatre’s production of The 39 Steps. She is a showdown award winner for her role as Amneris in Aida: The Musical, and has performed in dozens of shows including leading roles in Urinetown, Blood Brothers and Beauty and the Beast. She has also completed a Certificate in Contemporary Music Performance at MAINZ, and writes and performs her own material.
