Helene Holman

Helene is a classical and musical theatre vocalist, actress and entertainer. She has performed in a number of plays, short films, musicals and operas, including Le Nozze di Figaro, Take a Chance On Me, Hay Fever, The Medium, Sweeney Todd, La Traviata and Tosca, and is currently the ‘face of broadbrand’ for TrustPower. This is Helene’s second time on stage at Ellerslie, and third show under Julian Harrison. Helene is thrilled to be a part of this production and is looking forward to taking on another exciting multi-character role.

After recently completing a double degree in Performing Arts and Classical Music Performance at Otago University, Helene relocated to the North Island to study further in singing under the guidance of Flora Edwards. Helene’s passion for singing and acting has led her to be involved in many plays, films and musicals, including ‘Pygmalion’, ‘The Birthday Party’, ‘Caucasian Chalk Circle’, ‘The Worst Band in the Universe’, ‘Almost Average’, ‘Charlotte’s Web’, ‘The Mikado’ to name but a few. Recently performing the role of Cherubino in her first opera ‘Le Nozze di Figaro’ has confirmed Helene’s love of opera, and left her craving more. She is so excited to be a part of ‘Take a Chance on Me’ and hopes to continue performing, turning her infatuation with the stage into a lifelong profession.
