Ken Morrison

ETS regulars may recognise Ken from Waiting in the Wings (2016) where he played Perry Lascoe. He has performed in many local musicals over 30 years, mostly on the North Shore but the last being the 2015 performance of Oliver at Harlequin Musical Theatre where he played Mr Sowerberry, the undertaker. Outside of theatre, Ken is an entrepreneur who has owned and managed many large, successful businesses. Playing 12 different characters in The 39 Steps is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

This is Ken’s 4th play at ETS in recent years. Last year he appeared as Alan Bennett 2 in The Lady in the Van. In 2017 he had 14 different characters in The 39 Steps and in 2016 he was Perry in Waiting in the Wings. Away from ETS Ken played the male lead in Roger Hall’s Hot Water at Dolphin Theatre in 2018 and Mr Sowerberry, the undertaker, in Oliver at Harlequin in 2015. Prior to that Ken has performed in many musicals in Auckland over 30 years – most on the North Shore. Outside of the theatre, Ken is an entrepreneur who has owned and managed several large, successful businesses. You may spot him from time to time on Shortland Street or other NZ filmed TV series or movies.
